Students who decided to apply for the Cornell summer programme can proceed to the official application at Cornell’s website before April 1, 2026. At the same time, students need to submit the internal application to SAO (21 Jan – 23 Feb 2026) to become a UM-nominated student. Only UM-nominated students will be eligible to compete for the UM sponsorship based on smart point or RC nomination.

English Requirement
- English proficiency exam scores (e.g., CET4/6, TOEFL, IELTS, DuoLingo, or GRE)
- A testimonial (證明書/在學證明) issued by the Registry was accepted as a waiver for the English Proficiency Requirement in the previous years if the medium of instruction of your major is English. Please apply the document through UM App/myUM Portal.
– Choose the version of the testimonial that states the medium of instruction, and the document language should be in English.
– Two working days of processing time are required.
– The document costs MOP55. - If you do not have any of the above English proofs, please email cicer@cornell.edu to check other alternatives.
*SAO reserves the right to change the programme type/amount of sponsorship based on the actual expenses spent on the programme.
