Students who decided to apply for the Yale Summer Sessions can proceed to the official application at Yale University website from mid-January 2026 until the deadlines set by Yale University (kindly take note of the Yale application deadline for different sessions and programmes). At the same time, students need to submit the internal application to SAO (21 Jan – 23 Feb 2026) to become a UM-nominated student. Only UM-nominated students will be eligible to compete for the UM sponsorship based on smart point or RC nomination.

Besides, students must enroll in a face-to-face/on-campus course(s) in order to be nominated by UM.

Visa Requirement
Studying in-person generally requires entering the United States on a valid F-1 visa. Students may not attend Yale Summer Session on a B-1 or B-2 (tourist visa).
