On the website of each programme, it states how many credits/ECTs you will receive after you complete the course. Check with your faculty directly to see if any credits can be transferred back to UM.

Prepare the following information before you contact your faculty:

• Course descriptions of all courses you want to take abroad
• Explanation of the credit/grading system at the host university
• Course details, including the number of hours of formal instruction received each week for each course
• Other information required by your Faculty

Tip: Prepare a list of backup courses just in case you do not get into the ones you want. Sometimes the courses are full, cancelled, or have a time conflict with other courses that you would like to take.
